Format
Book a single session
No prior experience unless noted. Clay, tools, and bisque of one piece are included on First throws; other days list what is covered.
First throws
Centering, opening, and pulling a simple bowl or cup. Clay, tools, and bisque firing of one piece included.
Handles & rims
Refine thrown forms with pulled handles, trimmed feet, and clean rim work. Best after at least one wheel session.
Glaze test day
Mix small batches, apply test tiles, and discuss food-safe surfaces and firing schedules used in our kiln.
Surface & engobe
Slips and brush décor on leather-hard ware — banding, restrained pattern, and quiet floral marks.
Plate series
Throw and refine a small set of plates with attention to weight, profile, and stacking. Intermediate pace.
